Monsters, Posters, and Internships OH MY!

So Monster bit first my one professor Michelle Fogel works with mentally disabled children in a theater group in Lancaster PA. Funding to this group and all similar groups have been currently suspended. In order to keep their group going they need people to create art work to sell in a charity auction for their group. The auction piece had to be monster themed some how. I went a normal imaginary friend type route with my submission.

Working on poster for my thesis. Got pretty far on it so far. Want to try a few different print places. So I hope to have this done soon enough to be able to print and have a kick butt show gallery piece. All the tints that make up the "shadows" really suck so I'm just gonna have to make them not suck before I print. As far as animating is going I have a couple of shots left. The biggest thing I have to worry about is animating water and making it look super cool.

Looking up internships 'cause before I go anywhere for grad school I'm going to be staying around here. There's this really sweet one in Philly that's paid and US History based so here's hoping. That's about it.

Snow and Deja Vu- IF

Snow time is here again. I love how pretty it makes things look, but the last semester of my senior year of my undergrad is tomorrow so I don't want classes to be canceled. I need to scan frames and watch those play backs then tighten and composite by the next day which is Thursday.

My fiance and I got to have fun snow time and got to create beautiful art. Hopefully when people go to their cars in the morning they will be thrilled or at least their children will be thrilled.

On a not so related topic we have this weeks Illustration Friday topic "Deja Vu". I live in Lancaster and because of all the Amish and PA Dutch hex patterns and well patterning in general the buildings in the city actually have these loud patterns on them. The city of Lancaster PA is also known for their monster attacks (it is not just Tokyo and NYC). So I think we've all learned a little bit more about Lancaster PA and what the towns folk here have to deal with.
